Universal College and Student Link (UCASL). The leading search platforms for language courses in the UK.
UCASL provides an online platform for convenient enrolment directly with language schools in the UK. The contract is made directly between the student and the language school.
.1 The enrolment is realised by sending the online enrolment form on the website of UCASL. You acknowledge that your place on any course is not confirmed until all fees have been fully paid and UCASL has confirmed availability and receipt of this full payment. Failure to pay in full at least two weeks prior to arrival may result in the loss of your place. If the student needs a visa it is recommended that you apply at least 6 weeks before the course starts.
.1 Upon acknowledgment of course confirmation, the student enters a contract directly with the language school. The balance of the payment will be made directly to the school. Currency conversions on the website are based on the daily exchange rate and will fluctuate with the daily variations in the exchange rate. For the pre-payment, the exchange rate of the day will be applied. Always the currency of the school applies.
.1 No fees will be charged for extensions or upgrades of bookings at the same school. In all other cases, if the student would like to make modifications to a confirmed booking, a change fee will be charged. For changes communicated less than 30 days before the start of the booked services, schools reserve the right to pass on to the student additional costs resulting from the change. Changes of schools, reduction of course durations and downgrade of services are considered as cancellations and the cancellation terms apply.
.2 You acknowledge that the tuition, registration fee, accommodation placement fee and all other fees paid are non-refundable after the start of course. Requests for refunds of contracted insurance services are regulated by the conditions of the insurance and need to be communicated by the client directly to the insurance.
.3 It is recommended to contract cancellation insurance upon enrolment to cover the cancellation costs if you cannot attend the course for medical reasons.
.4 To avoid or minimize cancellation fees, you may request ahead of time to postpone the course to another date. Frequently schools will then charge no fees or only a small administrative fee.
.1 You may cancel your booking before arrival in accordance with the terms and conditions of the language school. Cancellations after deadlines may result in the loss of any fees paid. You are responsible for any errors or omissions in the details you have submitted.
.1 You agree to pay any cancellation or change fees that you incur. In limited cases, some language school does not permit changes to or cancellations of booking after they are made, as indicated in the rules and restrictions for the booking. You agree to abide by the terms and conditions imposed with respect to your prepaid language course reservations.
.1 If a client is forced to cancel the course due to visa denial after a timely visa application, all payments, and deposits made to us will be returned. Schools may charge for banking and administration fees. The client will need to present a document demonstrating the visa rejection at least 3 weeks before the start of the course or accommodation booking.
.1 The booking and payment data which is provided by students will be treated with absolute confidentiality.
.1 It is the student's responsibility to fulfill the requirements which are necessary for the execution of the journey to the course, such as passports, visas, customs rules, health instructions, and insurances. To deliver the required visa documents the schools may charge an additional courier delivery fee for courses booked on short notice before the start of the course. Additionally, the student should inform the school in time about infections and vaccinations as well as other prophylaxis measures and get medical advice if necessary.
.1 The desired type of accommodation will be selected and assigned by the school. Normally accommodation is booked from Sunday a day before the start of course, until Saturday a day after the end of course. If the student wants to stay more nights the school charges an additional accommodation fee. The school will try to fulfill all preferences which may be listed explicitly in the comment field of the registration form. The student will receive detailed information about the accommodation approximately 1-2 weeks before the start of the course.
.1 The student can purchase an airport transfer within the online enrolment form. This service includes being met at the airport by a school representative and transportation from the airport to the accommodation. All flight information should be sent at least one week before arrival. This service is also available at additional cost for the return trip.
